German duo Schneider Kacirek come to Singapore this June for an intimate performance.
From a past with indie electronic groups such as To Rococo Rot and collaborations with Marc Ribot (Tom Waits, John Zorn) and Hans-Joachim Roedelius (Cluster), the duo explore new territories on Shadows Documents, their debut album, released on kraut-rock/post-punk label Bureau B.
Neither club music, nor ambient music, nor African music, the drums and synthesisers are played interchangeably for their melodic and percussive capacities and create an ‘in-between’ space that is sophisticated, elegant and precise.
The duo are supported by the kosmiche electronics from Australian electro lad Raus and abstract rhythms and ambience from local blankverse.
