Chok Kerong’s ELEVEN brings together some of Singapore’s finest musicians in a concert melding straight-ahead jazz, soul/R&B and pop with the textures of classical chamber music. For the first time, Chok Kerong presents original compositions with an ensemble that includes a string quartet and a woodwind section, with special guest, singer-songwriter Charlie Lim. Possessing an ever-expanding palette of expression, Kerong’s compositions encompass folksong-like melodies and harmonies underpinned by uncompromising grooves.
